Each year students who have maintained the equivalent of a B or better average in college preparatory mathematics for five semesters are inducted as new members. Dues for the year are minimal. Mu Alpha Theta members have several projects each year: members tutor those Shermer Middle students having difficulties in mathematics. Mu Alpha Theta in conjunction with the mathematics department sponsors a math lab once a week for students needing help in math. Please see the math lab schedule below. Math Lab is scheduled twice each week -- every Tuesday morning from 7:15 to 7:40 a.m. in Room 117 and every Wednesday afternoon from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. in Room 114. No need to make an appointment, just come to the Lab!!
